    supercharger failure

I have a 2007 challenger with the 215. Yesterday my supercharger went south. The previous owner had told me that the ceramic washers had already been swapped out to steel. The boat only has 33 hours on it.
When I pulled the sc, it looks like to me that it does indeed have steel washers but the bearings are all gone. Unlees it has ceramic washers between the steel ...how many washers should there be ??It looks like there is 1 washer closest to the housing-the gear-washer-splined spacer-5 spring washers-little round spacer and then the nut.

If it did not have ceramic washer and just the bearings went, do I still have to go thru the engine or will the sceen at the pump catch this. I read of dealers that just put on a new sc and let it ride. I will try and upload a pic of this in a following thread.
    Thanks for any help

Are all of the ball bearings accounted for??IF so then you shouldnt have to pull the motor...As far as the washers...you still have all of them,i dont know who installed them BUT the thrust washer i on backwards...you are good that way..BUT now your gonna need to rebuild the Scer anyway...

Like snoman said. Collar washer is on backwards and there is a large gap there. Looks like nut backed off and very lucky it didn't turn into disaster.

all the ball looking bearings seem to be in the area under the washer closest to the black housing ...but there are no needle bearings inside the gear sprocket ??/ if that makes any sense

Also ... where do I start in looking for the needle bearings ?? I read about a filter and a screen. I do not have a manual yet ...getting one today or tomorrow. Thanks
