    COnvertion

    my oil pump wen outon my xl800 and i foun d a 1100 engine...i want tin stall it int he xl hull...but the fuses is missing and what other modis would i need tro get for it to work? also do i need to change teh gauge?

    my xl800 crankshaft got mashes up and also the pistons...wen the pump went out

    I have a GP its diferent but I think you would have to change ignition pump and driveshaft.
    Gauges as well I think.
    I would get a 1200 if your going to go thru all that (easier install) it has a better timing curve and the 1100 had trickier carbs to get right.
    You can turn the 1100 into a 1200.

    its a 2000 xl800..hwo can i tunr the 1100 into a 1200?

    Change the top end carbs and add pulse lines to the cases.

    I don't think an 1100/1200 npv will directly bolt to the mounts in that year XL.

    Right J- me I think the 1998 was old motor 2000 was not.
