    Lightbulb 1996 Polaris sl900 - nose won't rise

Hello, all season the ski has run great. Tonight I went out and when I accelerate the nose is staying flat, not rising like normal. I adjusts the tilt , and checked the intake underneath .... All ok. I have no clue hat could cause this - all the same items are in the storage compartment . Also, I did full her up with gas, but always do before a ride.

I can go fast, but I am getting no nose rise. It seems to cause porpoising even on flat water.

Any suggestions? Thank you all !!

If there is any amount of water inside the hull it could cause this problem.

Is the engine RPM getting up to its usual maximum? I am wondering if it is down on power.

Have you done anything with the jet pump recently, like removed and reinstalled it?

Have you checked inside the jet pump for debris?

Power seems good. The gas tank is in the front of course but no water. I checked the jet.. I have done no work recently but the propeller has a nick on one blade. I got up to about 30 mph and with the tilt up or down the nose was level with the bow.... No rise, really strange !!!

What RPM are you actually getting at wide open throttle?

You have inspected under the hull?

The ride plate is still tight and sealed, intake grate intact and unbroken?

Either the hull is plowing/dragging and the engine power cannot overcome the drag, or the engine is down on power, or the jet pump has a problem.

The nose is always level with the bow

Pump nozzle or trim must be pointing way down to keep the nose planted on this two seater. Perhaps top two long bolts are broken and pump pressure causes nozzle to point downward?
    Just a thought

Also, have you calibrated the trim to the display?

i actually do not have an intake grate..... Never did! Any suggestions on where to get on for the sl900. I am going to take it back out tomorrow . What would you do to the trim to get the most bow rise ? Thank you all for the help .
