    Help with WaveJammer loosing spark

I recently had replaced the cdi in my daughters jammer since it had no spark at all. It ran fine for a couple weeks but today after riding for an hour it lost all spark again. I got it home, tried to start it on the trailer, spuddered like it had a little spark, then just kept cranking without any spark. I let it sit for a few hours, cranked it and it started right up but then died again after about 10 seconds. Now, no spark again. Any ideas?

Does anybody have any suggestions for me? I ordered a new stator for it in hopes of that being the problem, but won't know til tomorrow afternoon when I install it.

How are you measuring the spark?

I just held the plug to a head bolt but there was absolutely no spark whatsoever. I replaced stator but am waiting for a new woodruff key to arrive before i reassemble cuz this one looks as if its ready to shear. It's actually bent!

Have you checked the ignition coil? Sometimes the coil will preform properly when cool, but later when it heats up and expands the primary coil windings lose continuity. Check for primary coil OHMS while cold and then check primary coil OHMS again while hot.

I went with the WSM 500 coil. Mostly frustrating because this is my 7yr old daughters ski. I want her to enjoy the sport and become involved in is as my wife and I are and not think it sucks because her ski is down.
