    1994 Polaris SL 750 - Needs work

Hello Hulk, I recently picked up a 94 SL 750 that's not running. It has a broken rod and pitted pistons, and cracked block. Take a look at these pictures and help me decide what to replace to get her back on the water.

    welcome to the Hulk.

Looks to me like you are looking for a new engine. sadly enough... while your at it the fuel system should be completely gone threw and upgraded to the triple outlet fuel pump, as well as rebuilding the carbs with Genuine Mikuni carb parts....all of this stuff can be purchased threw John Zigler... Rock County Jetski....

if im reading your name right and you are actually in Illinois...where about in Illinois if Northern, Zigler is not far from you

with the location of the electrical box, im reall yhoping that battery is DEAD, that box is METAL, and where it is...seems like its sitting on the battery contacts? if this is the case and the battery is not dead, you might be looking at a complete electrical system as well

That's what I'm thinking Drkvampire, check out this ebay listing - http://www.ebay.com/itm/181191765844...84.m1423.l2649 - Should I just get that for now? I ask because it only has 11 hours left on the auction.

Yeah, that will just lead to me rebuilding again... doh! I would like a new motor or like you said, a known good one but I just don't know any reputable places to get support for that. I will keep looking through the forums for that.

I have looked all over and cannot come up with anything that will tell me all the different engines I can use, I should probably stick with an original (blue) Fuji 750 so I dont have to strip everything out. Id like to keep in there as much as I can. Upgrading the fuel is acceptable and doing the "current" mods to modernize it sounds good too. So John Zigler is where I should start then?

Intrested, Im in central IL (Peoria).

Also, I want to go out and start taking bits out. Would I need to take apart more than the seat to get the crank case out? Thanks again for your help.
