    300x break in

I just today picked up a new "white" 2013.. Man I love these colors! .. I also want to keep it forever with that being said. Any advise on break in.. The manual is very vague. I know not to keep a constant rpm for more than a few seconds and don't plan to WOT for more than a few secs after the first 2 hours but I bought my other 300 with 8 hours on it so never worried about it..this one on the other hand has zero hours ......just know there are things I won't think about and would appreciate some help

    Thank You

Just vary the revs, don't baby it totally, you want to put a bit of load on the engine to help bed the rings in.

How many hours is usually recommend till I can really open it up with a 3-4min WOT? And shouldn't I change the oil and filter after 10 hours I know the manual service check list says 50 hours but that seems extreme to me

I would wait 5 hours before you start "pushing" it, and change the engine oil and filter at 10 hours.

You may have to return your ski to the Kawasaki dealership at 10 hours to "maintain" your Warranty. I know my sales person told me I had to when I picked-up my ski.

Lastly, read your Owner's Manual. There are procedures and guidelines defined in there for Break-In. I remember distinctly it stating to idle at < xxx RMP and watch for the Engine Warning Light. Then to come up on plane a bit, then to do some small non-radical maneuvers, like circles - essentially to put smaller and different loads on the engine at different intervals.

Have fun, and Good Luck !!!
