    Hurricane season!!!

I know it's dead right now but anyone keep up on the storms. Whenever they come up the coast we ride. Makes for awesome jumping. Usually lots of skiers and surfers outta ocean city heading for water. Having my dad living in ocm I know what bad can come from them like sandy but man, if they stay off the coast that makes for great riding. Always be safe. Never go out alone. We got a couple guys that go out sometimes just jumping in the Inlet. Hit us up if anyone wants to ride!! There's also a hurricane tracker app for the I-phone.

Anyone got any good story's. during hurricane Fran we were jumping in the inlet. 15' sets. Was insane. I hit the epic set. 3 in a row. I look over after all three and there were a group of Asians taking pictures and cheering us on. Was histerical that same storm channel 13 news I believe was at the inlet. They asked if we were going out. He talked real nice to us then when he saw us later in the inlet he called is idiots. Along with 15 other skiers. I googled my name one day to see what would come up. Maybe see if i had some kids I didn't know about and up came that article. Also my avatar pic. Pretty cool

same here.. when sandy hit and there was 3 feet of water 3 blocks in.. there was all old doos and yammys tearing it up.. theres a video on youtube of some guy going through the streets of oceanside haha

id be too worried id fall off to actually go out and get on a hurricane wave.. im thinking it takes one good bad boy and you can end up 30-40 yards from your ski in major swells lol.. fun to watch videos though.

Sandy was too crazy. I think there were 30' foot swells recorded outside of the inlet. I was out one day in 6-8' waves at Jones inlet and it was pretty intense for me. If you weren't jumping you were dodging the breakers trying not to get flipped over!

Depending on tide and direction I've seen 20-30'ers at the shoals outside the ocm inlet but I've also seen it like a washing machine where waves are going in all directions. That's when we just stay in the inlet. I didn't ride in sandy but if u go to swellinfo.com and type in ocean city md tow surf I believe there is a guy on a ski tow surfing a surfer while being recorded from the shore

Tropical storm Erin is having trouble forming but heading in the right direction. Maybe late next week there could be big swells (As I stated before I never wish for landfall only big as swells for jumping)
