When should I use my trim
2013 yamaha fx ho. This is my second ski and the first with a 5 position manual trim, I always keep in in the middle and I have wonder, how should I use it when I ride by my self or with the wifey. How to use it, to gain speed or a better ride. We ride loca lakes.
Thank you in advance for all suggestion and advice

The middle position is pretty good all around. Best top speed will probably be in the 1 up position. The 1 down position might work well for choppy conditions, carving turns, pulling a skier or tube and riding a passenger. I would recommend just playing with it in different conditions.

Just play with the setting. See what works best and what you like. Just don't relay on the speedo, it's a good 5-7mph off above 50mph.

Thank you for the pointers. I will play with the setting and see how it feels.
When and how do you use your settings (5).

Most times I'll trim it full up for smooth water and for speed. Less hull in the water equals less drag equals better fuel economy and speed.
