hi has anyone tried useing the stock intercooler and an external intercooler at the same time ? would there be any gains with cooler air? or would air flow be a problem?

The stock one in the intake mani is too restrictive.

unnecessary weight, especially with water in em. The size of a good core is not that big.

too much restriction in flow for any gains.

I also saw a post once where someone used 2 in-line intercoolers from silicone intakes.com and it didn't work as well either

Try the Fizzle HE or build your own using a quality core. The only way two coolers would benefit you would be to split the pipe from the supercharger into 2 separate coolers, dividing and slowing the air charge, then bringing the charge tubes back together before the throttle body. It would be heaaa--veeey, but would work. A more expensive single cooler with many plates/cooling fins would do the job (more efficiently) with less weight.

Those are China coolers. We ran 2 coolers in a twin charged l67 but one was A2A and the other was W2A. W2A was made from phenolic and the A2A was garrett. 700hp fwd street car
