Adjusted Troll screw by Mistake Yamaha 1200xl ltd, help please

I accidentally adjusted the troll screw thinking I was opening the oil drain. When I start my waverunner it is reving up high. I shut it off Immediatley. I played with the troll screw some more. Can the troll screw cause my waverunner to rev so high or is there a limit on how much the troll can be adjusted with this screw? This is the screw that is right next to the oil bleed.

it can make it run like hell . just turn it down until you reach 1250 to 1300 rpms.

Do I turn it to the right ? Would that cause the big rev when I start it?

Turn the screw clockwise to tighten it all the way, it should still idle. Then turn a little at a time counter clockwise to raise the idle to the desired setting.

You mean turn it counter clockwise. If you turn it clock wise it will open the Throttle's even more. Its a right hand threads if I best remember
