    2006 15f - INJ3 error code

Hey guys, my ski is running terrible (intermittenly) and throwing the code INJ3. Does that mean injector number 3 is bad? or just that cylinder 3 is misfiring? Thanks.

I'm not sure what that error code is exactly. But I would start by checking the plug on injector 3 is completely plugged in and no wires are cut or pinched.

There is no way for the cylinder to know that its misfiring, its probably a problem with the injector or wiring. Try moving the injector to a different cylinder, dont run it hard though.

So I finally got around to trying to fix this problem, I went ahead and put in a new injector. I'm going to take it out for a test ride soon, but my question is do I need to reset the original error code? Or does it go away automatically.

FYI to anyone reading this and about to attept to put in a new injector. When you take the fuel supply manifold off, don't forget about the two long bushing/spacers that the bolts run through. keep an extra hand on them or they will fall into the deep dark abyss that under the engine. They are a real bitch to get out of there.

    Good luck

The code doesn't matter after you fix the problem, go ride and keep an eye on what the plugs look like, that is the quickest way to see if something is up.
