Remote / low speed mode ?

Does anyone actually use their remote? What is it really for? To be honest, I have no idea where my remote is. Its probably still in the packet that came with the ski. So do you guys actually carry it around with you? Is there any reason to have it with you while you're on the water?

You can use it to disable your ski while parked at a beach or restaurant.
