Not really, unfortunately....im afraid your going to have to pull the motor and tear it down. Find the remaining parts and repair any damage you find.

No, See when a SCer Bearing or Washer fails it drops its parts in the PTO houseing. The PTO houseing has the flywheel, the timming chain and gear, the starter bendix and so on. So what happens most of the time is the Chain chews it all up and it has even been known to tear up flywheel gears. Then some of it gets caught up in the oil pumps. Most in the front pump, but alot sits in the bottom of the PTO houseing. So the true and correct best way to fix it, is to remove the motor from the boat. Then pull PTO houseing and front oil pump. Flush oil galley's and inspect oil pumps, flywheel double row gears, start bendix, timming chain gear on crank and then replace Timming chain. PERIOD! No buts just change the chain. Why? Well because the timming chain has most likely chewed on some of the metal parts and put a ton of stress on the chain weekening it, so a chain failure useually happens in around 10 hours after a SCer failure, so timming chain a must. Hope this help.
