2007 RXT temp sensor and hood shock.

I have a 2007 seadoo RXT that had sat last year due to work obligations and didn't get used til this past week.Last fall I did the basic lubrication to winterize and started it and it ran for a short period of time(to bring oil into the valves)and at that time it set of the high temp sensor...so I shut the engine off.
Upon running it on the lake last week my temp gauge showed 68-72 degrees F.......so I'm wondering if I didn't damage the thermocouple sensor?

As well ,I changed the location of the bottom bracket for the hydraulic hood shock(as per the service manual recomended change) and it worked well, until last week when it popped from the bracket......does anyone have any recommendations to remedy this?......you would think seadoo could engineer a hood shock to work with out fail...even utilizing 2 would have remedied this situation.

    thanks......

The high temp alarm is concerning...Did you run dry it without the hose on or not in the water? Always bad... make sure you don't have exhaust leaks after this happens...

thanks guys, it's been 2 years since I have ridden the seadoo(so thought the gauge read operating temp not intake water temp(which in celcuis would be 20 degrees C) .I ran it in the shop without water......It wasn't for very long, but after sitting for a year probably no winter antifreeze/water mixture in system. It ran fine at the lake......no leaks! but will be much more careful in future.
