    Question GTX supercharged question

I have just purchased a 04 GTX supercharged. The other day I took the seat off after it had been raining and notice some water just inside the air intake that is located underneath the front part of the seat. Is this an issue? Is there suppose to be a filter or anything that goes in the open hole to keep water and dirt out or is it just suppose to be open like mine is?

Water in the air intake is no good.
Most people don't have filters but if your concerned then put one on.
Any auto parts store should have what you need.

So how do folks keep water out of the air intake area? It seems that with just moderate splashing or playing on the ski that water could go between the seat and the fiberglass and enter the water intake area?

Yes, I figured that was the air intake that goes directly to the engine. If its just a vent, where is the air intake for the engine? I purchased the ski used and didnt know if something was missing that had been in the big hole there (3"X4" hole).

The hose coming from the supercharger goes along side the starboard side of the hull to the front and then out the vent I am referring to in the previous post. Im just trying to figure out if something in that area is missing. With that big open hole between the seat and the hull, I dont see how water is kept out of the air intake?
