Question MSX150 when reved up will not return to idle.

Started our MSX 150 for the first time without a problem, but when reved up she will not return to idle. Any suggestions on what to look for?

Out of the water, always engage Reverse before starting the Weber engine.

The turbo Weber engines sometimes rev up high when started out of the water, so the Reverse Mode limits engine RPM. In the water it should not rev up by itself, even without Reverse engaged.

    Welcome to Green Hulk!

What you describe is normal for the Weber engine when it is run on the trailer out of the water. As K447 stated... engage the reverse lever to limit RPMs to 3400 and prevent sky high reving. This condition won't happen in the water.

If your new to the MSX150... please take some time to read the MSX 110/150 and Weber engine information that K447 has in his signature link. Pay particular attention to proper oil levels and the proper oil level checking method. And premium fuel ONLY!
