can the shoe be left in the hull as it was sealed a week ago, as i need to do the transom sealing
would do the pair but just got the gap from shoe to hull spot on and filled the holes in the shoe with jb weld..

Yes, you can do it but the plate might be hard to get off because of the sealant. Use a big pry bar and SLOW EVEN pressure on the tab. As it starts to come loose it might help to cut the sealant also. when you put the plate back on be very generous with the 5200 or uv4000 also put more on the pump shoe that will be exposed to you when you do it.

Thats the way I did it last time and it worked fine, but then later I had to remove my shoe for a different reason.

    thanks 2fast4u

thanks tommy took the tramson plate off as you surgested and there was evidence of salt water erosion that had eaten through the stock yami bead of sealer in a few places
