Alittle help please - 96 sts 750 steering column
I just picked up a 96 sts 750 with the steering frozen. I climbed right into it and discovered the cable was bent under the column. I have a parts machine sitting in the back yard so I pulled the cable and swapped them out. I noticed The steering column felt quite loose. I figured there's got to be a adjustment for tightening it up. Anyone done this Before? I have another column if need be but was hoping not to have to use it.
Proud owner of 96 sts 750, 97 stx 1100, 98 stx 750 and 95 polaris slt 750 converted to 780 and a couple doner machines for parts.. I cant help it I love the water.... All 4 machines run!
I work on them all.... Kawasaki and polaris. Rebuilt and worked on them all. Owned a few sl 750 polarisis too.. But don't ask me about sea doo or yamaha never owned one...
Thanks in advance...
