What now? HELP!
Took my out today after about 3 months after it was at Mandy's Performance for a carb rebuild and a cilinder and piston replacement. Turned it on every 2 weeks just to make sure I dont have to rebuild the carbs again....SO, first the exhaust hi temp alarm came on a few times. I noticed it only came on when on cruising speed...Then the throttle body kept sticking open, had to move it manually inside the hull.....Then when Im ready to leave the MF did not want to turn on! It cranked and cranked but nothing! I thought I had choked it too much or some chit...Took the plugs out and dried them a bit....Still nothing....Then, check this....the motor kept cranking even after I stopped pressing the start button!! I pressed the STOP button, I took the lanyard out and the motor was still cranking!!!!!!!! PHUCK! WTF is going on? It drained my battery and I had to be towed to the MF'ing ramp!

Sounds like you have an air leak....check carb gaskets and manifold gaskets. retightn those bolts.

My first guess would be something screwy in the start/stop assembly. I didn't have mine tightened down right once, and it shorted out and started cranking while I was headfirst in the engine bay. Scared the shizzle out of me. I'd pull it apart and make sure everything is kosher there. The other possibility would be a bad starter maybe.

also if you just had cylinder replacement you may have a leaky gasket there. If it was a good shop I would call them and tell them the problems you are havening especially if you havent run the ski since then. They should fix this....or i wouldnt bring my ski there again.

was it cranking or desieling.....these conditions can sound similar.

I think it was cranking...I dont really know what the other thing you mention is....
It was fixed at Mandy's Performance here in Miami. I was highly reccomended to him by some board members....

What bolts should I re-tighten? Do I have to take out the Stinger for this?

Give mandy a call back, and a chance to make this right for you ... I also have heard only good things about his work....

I really hope he stands out for his work and does not tell me its something new that had "nothing" to do with what he did. The other problem is that he perform this service back in December and I never took it out after that...
