    New trailer, OLD problem

Hey guys. I just acquired pre-owned double trailer with weird lighting issue.
1-when I turn on my truck lights, trailer lights do not come on unless I press the brakes.

2-when I turn on left turn signal, ALL trailer lights flash.
3-when I turn on right turn signal, NO trailer lights at all, not even right trailer lights.

All wiring looks ok. Should I reground all wires or......

    Thanks in advance

You have a ground problem between your truck ground and your trailer ground for sure? It may be just on the trailer lights it self but start at the truck first and work your way back to the lights, Good Luck. also you might want to post a trailer question here to get more help http://www.greenhulk.net/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=144 Tommy Jordan

Trailer lights are simple to rewire with an new set of wires and light, $50 if you use regular light kit, around $75 if you get the new LEDs....., but if you have the same problem with different trailers, the problem may be in your trucks pigtail.....

Old trailer lights worked fine. I suspect grounding. After further review The grounded wire from the pigtail is little corroded. Will rework & see what happens. Thx

Temporarily connect a wire from a good grounding point on the tow vehicle to the trailer. See if the symptoms change.

From what you describe, my guess is that there is more than one problem. A simple test light with a probe will make diagnosis much easier. Start with the tow vehicle connector. If good, connect the trailer and check each circuit at the bulb sockets or somewhere close.
