05 GP1300 mod advise and direction

so i live in australia and always use the ski in the chop of ocean and salt water. brought ski year ago on 22 hours for $6200 and now completed 122 hours and owned it for 13 months. brought the ski stop and mainly use it for wavejumping. looking to increase acceleration and mid end not to fussed on loosing top end performance. when brought ski was dead stock and i only recently installed:

    d plate @70 hours
pump shoe seal kit @110 hours
    riva/rnd intake great (cant remember)

direction im looking to go IN ORDER:
    1. install holeshot mod (not sure witch way to go yet?)
    2. machine stock heads (what psi do i look for?)
    3. 4* keyway (any advantage over 3* ?)
    4. vf3 reeds
    5. change flame arrestor (not sure what to put there or if its nessasary ?)

at what point do i need to install Riva fuel controller?
how can i increase air flow to motor remembering i ride in chop and ocean?
do i modify the airbox and if so how?
also should i step the sponsoons imediatly?
also see there is a pump tunnel reinforment kit one can buy?

Thankyou all advise and help would be appreciated

Hello, I am pretty close to your set up, the hole shot kit did not do a whole lot, I installed the EJK controller it helped some ... still not a great hole shot. I just sent the heads to Jim's performance ... so now that I am getting into the ski, I am going to install my 4* keyway that has been sitting on my work bench all summer. Jim, stated that my new compressions should be around 150 psi. I will post results after the key way install is complete ... most likely in 2 weeks. waiting on heads. I know I will have to re-tune the controller. Rich, @ WFO says he feels that I will get that "night-n-day" difference in the hole shot and top end. I hope so.

Yes you will need a fuel controller if you advance timing or increase compression

no problem... whatever small flat rate usps priority envelope costs
the 4 degrees are all I have been selling for about a year... same gains just 1 degree more timing
yes on the controller... you are talking about adding timing and compression
