Bought my first 1200 xl Ltd 1999 (some help)
This is my first post on this forum, however I have been reading and gathering info for a week or so... Any way last Saturday I bought a yamaha 1200 xl ltd with 130 hrs on it. I went to test ride this and all went well
full throttle run was ok 55mph on the digi clock, it idles ok, and starts easy when hot... Etc..etc.
I also did a compression test and reading were not super good but satisfactory 118 , 115,113 psi.
Today I checked 2 things 1 the cat converter 2 the power valves clips...
The cat converter has been removed as I noticed that the sender has been removed and I saw the resistor plugged near the elec box (am I right here?)
Now the famous pv's have a look the the photo I have taken according to my ignorance these are still to be installed right?
any input is much welcome or thoughts one can share in order for me to do and enjoy this.... Also when test riding this I did notice that it tends to try to go right or left I don't remember , Do someone have a fix
I will upload some photos to share
