    Sparks Plugs

I have 2 SeaDoo GTX's STD and every 2 to 3 years I have to replace the plugs. How come they need to be replaced? Those plugs are supposed to be good for cars for 100,000 miles!! I only ride my skies for about 20-30 hours before I replace them. Im just curious on how that works. Any Ideas?? Or is that just normal because its a 4-tech engine?
    Thanks
    Ben

I replace mine at least once a season. Fogging oil kills the plugs. Stick with the OEM plugs.

I do. Mine uses the NGK DCP-R8E. But do you know why the spark plug's life is so short?
    Thanks

A $2.50 plug is supposed to last 100k miles? Lol

Not to mention, on a boosted engine?! Shit, my plugs are done and tired at 15-20hrs! So i just pitch them around 10-12hrs!

you aren't riding the skis hard enough, and perhaps using low grade fuel and/or oil.

My customers are routinely getting 100 hours out of thier plugs. I put shop plugs in when I do a spring setup to fire the engine and burn off the fogging oil. I leave those plugs soaking in carb cleaner mostly and with a little wipe up, they are ready again. Then a quick compression test and the "real" plugs go back in.

try getting some ethanol free gas and lay off the injector cleaner.
