    Crankshaft Core Assembly

    Does anyone have a good way to line up the dow's on crankshaft core when putting it back together. I'm in the process of rebuilding my lower and uppper end on a 1997 GP1200. Below is a picture of my core and it shows the holes in the core that all must be lined up for the cases to fit flush. I have the top half elevated and upside down so i'm dropping the core in with the rods hanging out the bottom. Any tricks or advice would be a big help.

    Disregard thinking of different motor....sorry...delet post

    I will give it a try. Now that you say that all the old posts I read were assembling the cranks where you have a slot for the dows to slide down or rotate into place.

    Ahh no problem. Still a good thought though.

    If anyone else has some recomendations let me know.
