    Winter Storage question

I will be storing my 2012 Rxp in my heated warehouse for the next seven months. Not sure what I should do.

Change the oil? Fog the engine?

Last year I had it winterized at the dealer because it was being kept in an unheated pole barn.

    Thanks!

Do the same as dealer, its a 4 stroke and all but I never take chances. When I store my wrx from winter I fog the cylinders and valves, its just extra assurance.

Fog it, add fuel stabilizer, disconnect the battery. You should be fine!

I would still flush the open part of the cooling system with antifreeze. 2 reasons. Stop corrosion of the system (intercooler) and if the heat should fail where your storing it, it won't freeze up.

An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Better safe than sorry. Plus, it's cheap... and fun.

I remove the battery, add fuel stabilizer, use an BRP lubricant on the throttle linkage as well as a fluidfilm on the rear pump linkages.I use 2 hoses that can be held upright to pour RV antifreeze (enviro-lake freindly) into the the exhaust and the intercooler.(both of these are shown in your owners manual. I usually start for a few seconds to have the water pump push the glycol through the system. I also have added an inlet water strainer that I drain of water and clean the screen .and grease the bearing buddies on the trailer.I usually give the trailer and ski a quick wax and use some lubricant on the trailer springs.

drain or use up all the gas
find gas with out ethanol... if possible
mix up 1 gal of gas with good 2 stroke oil min 25+:1, I mix mine richer
run until you see lots of smoke it lubes every thing like fuel pump, injectors, valves, cylinders, they all like it
drain IC or fill with some type antifreeze, check motor antifreeze for freeze point and color, change if needed
spray lube on all moving parts ie: TB and cable parts
remove battery here in the north and store in the heat or use battery tender
wash and wax, the winter dirt will almost rinse off
