Opinion: 2012 RXT-X or 2013 GTR? Which would you choose?

    Hello,
I am new to this forum and need some opinions. Which would you choose?

    1) 2013 Sea Doo GTR, brand new, with 3 yr extended warranty - $10k.
    OR
    2) 2012 Sea Doo RXT-X, 57 hours, with 2013 single powder coat trailer, cover, and transferable warranty until 7/14 - $10k

the ski is going to be used on a big lake(winnepasaukee in NH) where the chop can get bad
    thanks!

I would go for the t-x, especially for the big lake. I think that hull will cut the chop better plus it will respond to mods better as well. Where did u see it for $10k?

I love my gtr,it does really well in rough water. I have not been on a rxtx so I really can't compare. I was in a similar situation when I bought mine. They had a new 2012 leftover rxtx for about $1300 more then the gtr. I went with the gtr for look of it. I just couldn't see myself with the bright yellow. Plus the lines on the gtr look so cool. To each they're own.

I have a 2013 GTR and ride with a friend with a 2010 RXT-X. We ride in Lake Huron and just got back from a ride on Georgian Bay, so we are riding in some pretty good waves most of the time. We are side by side in all the water conditions we ride in, and I have ridden his machine and don't find the hull any different than mine. I have been hearing all this praise about the S3 hull for years, but I have been wondering if any of these people giving their opinions have been on the new "GTI" hull. In my opinion, both machines are a great choice. I was going purchase an S3 hull, but couldn't find a used one for a decent price with warranty and that was very important to me. I know that buying the new GTR that I would have 3 years of warranty. You can't go wrong with either machine, but the RXT-X would be a better machine if you wish to mod in the future. If you are planning on staying stock, the GTR and RXT-X are identical in hole shot and top end speed from what I have seen.
