    MFD question

A year or two ago a member posted a thread about him meeting the engineer that designed the older round and oval MFD's. I believe the engineer had the last one built and either gave or sold it to this person.
Does anyone remember who this member is? I've revewed the older threads and could not find it.

There is some MFD history in the MFD section from my signature links.

    Have you seen that info?

I am curious what your interest is.

Yes, I have seen the MFD info in your signature link. Excellent info. I supplied some of the photos on opening the round MFd's and the oscilloscope photos of the yellow stator wire to the MFD to display RPM.

My interest is, since this engineer designed the older round and oval MFD, he may still have schematics for these older MFD's that he could make available to us. This would help those of us that repair these instruments make repairs to the component level when possible. It's just another piece of information that will help keep these older MFD's in operation.

The member that posted the thread would know this person and could contact him to find out if these schematics are availability.

( believe he said the engineer was retired at the time). I was hopeful that he might chime in if he was still around. I'll go back further in the threads and see if I can find him.

Thanks for the info on David Struyk. If I can't find any info here on the forum, I'll give David a call at the telephone number listed in your info and report back
