    Riva Athena .. Verdict..

    Hey all ,

we re just coming out of winter in Australia, which means modification time

i m considering the riva Athena, however there s a fair few posts that state the Athena has its fair share of problems..

my plans would be to go to 8650 rpm, retainers air and prop, so nothing super extreme ..

Later stage probably a et 137 or equivalent..

Are the riva probs now sorted , ?.. I ve always run modded les Cooke ecu's in my older ski's with no dramas so I'm not sure whether to stick with problem free reflash or venture into the riva product on my 260
im not worried bout the loss of some factory features if using riva, I just wanna go faster
Any thoughts from the Athena users out there ? Steering clear as they still have issues or do I buy and enjoy?

    Thanks

My pal has had nothing but problems with his Athena , I'm going with a vetch ecu flash based on others who have modded their ski on here.

I would say they still have some work to do on the Athena. It's concerning that they now have Vipec to deal with also, so hope they don't put Athena on the back burner? Would be nice to see knock control operational, which is one of the main features advertised.
One of the main hurdles with Athena is lack of informative info on adjusting maps. I will say but If you do have issues or questions the support is there. The guys have answered any queries I've had quickly.

I am working with Vtech right now to develop great base maps for the Seadoo's and easy ways for the end user to fine tune them for their ski.
