Don't toss that old Dwell Meter and Timing Light

One of the best tools for troubleshooting fuel injectors is the old dwell meter. If an injector is working properly the dwell meter will indicate a decease in dwell as the engine speed increases since the on time to off time deceases at higher speeds which is what dwell is.

The old engine timing light still has use for setting timing and checking engine ignition advance so think twice before tossing it or handing down to a family member.
