    Riva Stage 2 Results

Got my Stage 2 up to 75.6 MPH on Saturday and very pleased with the results. I took 1mm out of the prop and went up from 7820 to 8080 RPMs.
It now has incredible acceleration and throttle response.
Got to get use to No OPAS though, its definately a safety feature not intended for the novice.
I do have one problem, water is getting into the engine compartment, I pressure checked all the seals, filled the hull with water and found no leaks. I have removed the rear down pipe Air outlet to facilitate acess to the intercooler and strainer ect. Unless I missed a pin hole leak in a hose or my carbon seal is leaking on my 38 hour ski its still a mystery to me. What do you guys suggest?

If you are running the stock exhaust outlet by the pump--check the big nut for being tight. Mine came loose and would let water in--but none out. This fixed my leak about about six months ago and no problems since.

I installed the rear exhaust and that nut is 5200'ed in.
Here is the area where I find salt spray, Do you think it is from the rear air tube?

i had spray in the same area and it was the hose running from the pump, under the exhaust mainfold, and into the intercooler. it had rubbed or heated a pinhole(that later got a lot bigger). I was able to reach down (tight fit), and pull the hose stern-ward and see the spray. It's worth disconnecting it from the intercooler and pulling it out to check for leaks.

only problem i have now is I think I might also have a leaky j-pipe too!(spray is in a different area though)

    hope that helps,
    sean

Found the leak, it was the VTS seal not seated correctly. I was able to remove the VTS without taking the pump off. As I was going thru everything found debris in my I/C strainer. The strainer is worth every penny. My next project will be installing a boost guage tonight.
