    vxr remap worth it ?

if you had it to do all over again would still remap your vxr/s. is it worth an extra 50 cents per gallon of gas plus $675. Thats alot of money for a tune. I didn't pay that much for a dyno tune after heads and cam install on my car. Just wondering if its going to wow me with the extra power. Is it that noticeable?

i'm barely faster than my buddies box stock VXR, when i do the GPRHO conversion with my VXS motor, i'm sending my vtech flashed ecu and i'm going to send it to R&D

I have a friend with a VXR. Intake, ribbon delete and free flow exhaust. No intake grate or shimming of the ride plate. He installed a reflash and it made a noticeable difference. He is a dead even run with an FZS with intake, ribbon delete, free flow, intake grate and riva waterbox in a choppy ocean. I haven't seen it run in the lake yet but it moves great.

I just got my 2011 Vxr reflashed from R&D performance . I can see a huge difference out of the hole, but I still need a new prop or re-pitch the stock. So I get the full amount of rpms and top speed.

Me personally, I would do it again, but I would do an ECU on any ski I own because I like throttle response. The ski simply is funner to ride at 8300 versus 7800. But compared to the ribbon delete in terms of bang for your buck, it doesn't stack up well.

If you want to hit speeds over 75mph yes. But I love how the VXR handles. I like the handling better than my FZR. All they need is an adjustable trim.

They do swap out easily, but without a prop repitch to take advantage of the new curve, it doesn't do much. When I remapped my ECU the first time without touching the prop, it made zero difference.
