2008 Late model 215hp SeaDoo Speedster Jet Boat Question (Ceramic washers)
I have read a lot of great post on this site. I have a 2008 SeaDoo 215 Hp supercharged Speedster.
Many of these posts say late model 2008 and 2009+ are ok with the metal washers installed. How can I tell if my Boat is in the late model 2008 class, as I purchased a New 2008 in April of 2009.
Does the HIN Number, Engine Serial Number tell if it is late 2008, or can I look up something to see if my 2008 has the cermaic washers or metal ones?
Also, if ceramic washers are the issue with loss in RPM and Spped, is there a quick and easy way of telling if the ceramics have failed? By turning something, visual inspection, or anything else?

Are you having issues with your boat??
It's highly recommended to completely rebuild your charger every 2-3 yrs.
New washers and bearings.
No matter if its a low hour boat I'd have them rebuilt.
Better safe then really sorry.
Jerry on this site does a great job and I've never heard a complaint.
If the bearings crap out its 2k+ in damages.

Typicality the boats use last years ski parts so your 08 has 07 parts.
