    Loss Of Power?

Took my ski out yesterday (2005 GTX limited) and it would not get up past 56. I know Ive gone above 60 in the past. Water conditions were perfect and I had the throttle pinned long enough to hit top speed.

Any ideas on what the issue might be or where to start looking?

Thanks and I appreciate the help. (Im not a tech guy when it comes to these things)

Many many things can cause a loss in performance. Was the fuel fresh? When were the plugs last changed? When was the supercharger slip last checked or last serviced? Boost leak from the supercharger hoses. Worn wear ring or damaged prop. Any other info you can post would be helpful.

Do you have the Garmin GPS in the console lid? You should be seeing 65-68 GPS all day long with that ski.
    Change plugs every spring?
Have you had the SC rebuilt removing old ceramic washers? If not, do it immediately! If yes, has the SC slip been checked in the last year?
    Fresh premium fuel?
Checked wear ring and impeller condition?

We need more info to help you.

Thank you guys for the replies..

I dont have the Garmin GPS. It got ruined some years back and I haven't bought a new one.

    The gas is good.

The plugs were not changed this year.. (Guess I should start there)

Supercharger washers have been replaced but the slip has not been checked this year.

Wear ring and impeller have not been checked.

Again, I appreciate the replies and will look into everything stated.

The plugs are easily fouled in the 4 TEC engine, don't just look at them, replace them every year!
The dream o meter for speed is worthless and can be +-15 mph easy. Google Garmin 76cs , there are plenty out there.
Pull the SC and check the slip.
The impeller and wear ring could cause a lot of this also.

    You'll find the problem.
