    FXHO Cruiser: 2005-2009 which one?

Have pretty much decided on a FXHO cruiser, but I cant narrow it down to a year. Rode my buddies 08 and loved the ride. That settled me on the FXHO Cruiser. Have seen used ones 2005-2009 most with pretty low hours (30-100), all claiming great condition.
I know 08 brought in the nano hull and the 1.8 engine.
Other than that have there been any significant changes in this model over the years that impact driveability, cruising range, or reliability? Opinions on mech and or electronic changes yamaha made over these years?

I'm not looking for a screamer, I'm more of the cruiser type these days. Gas and go, some Preventative Maintenance and very little drama is what I'm chasing.

    Thanks
    Bruce

    04-05 have same body style. MR1 1100cc engine(160hp) 57-59mph
06-08, new body style, same MR1 1100cc engine (160hp) 08-first year of nano smc hull material(lighter)57-59mph
09-11, new body style(nano smc hull) and new engine 1800cc(180hp and a lot more torque) 61-63mph

Both of these naturally aspirated engines can go for hundred's of hours of trouble free riding if maintained properly. Not much to it. change oil every season, plugs every 2ish years.

The prices between the 06-08's & 2009-10's are within $2000 of each other. I think you'll enjoy the 1.8 engine and hull better myself if it's within your budget.

If you wanna save money on gas and money on purchase price then go with the older skis. On average you will pay 2,500 to 5,500 for the 2002 to 2008 1,000 cc motors. For the newer models your looking at 6,000 to 9,000, atleast in the Fl area.

I got a 2006 and a 2003 and im very happy with my skis. Dont care of high power or top speed.
