    Newbie about to swap a 65u into a 1200r

    Hello all, newbie here..

I've been doing alot of searching and havent come up with much in regards to any writes ups or info regarding doing this swap. I did read somewhere that the front motor mounts need to be moved but no explanation as to how. Other than that, from my understanding its a pretty clear swap, especially because I have a complete gp1200 donor with a young, 54 hour 65u to go in a clean, 1200r millennium edition hull I picked up that came with its original pump.

Any information, advice or tips is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Not too many want to go backwards.
You're putting an older, slower motor in a GPR hull while most folks on the Hulk want to go faster.
    Good luck with your project.

I understand what your saying but it is also my understanding that the 65u is a much more reliable motor than what comes in the 1200r, not to mention it apparently gets more time out on the water per tank full.

Regardless, I acquired both for next to nothing and I just want a newer looking, reliable ski thats "quick". Not looking to enter racing comps or anything.

I did this with a raider 1100 engine. Not the same but not much difference. I can snap pics of front motor plates if interested. Not that hard to do.

i dunno what you are talking about. My GP1200 kept up with a stock GP1300R and all it had was a RD ride plate. id say 65u is a great swap considering the GPR is the fastest hull ever made... Few mods to a bullet proof non PV simple motor and you are golden ....
