    94 Sea-Doo XP Engine Won't Cut

Hello there, new here at Greenhulk and the PWC community. I recently acquired my fathers 1994 Sea-Doo XP when he decided it had too many problems. I've been fixing it up and I'm now down one small issue (relative to the cracked exhaust pipe). The engine will not cut unless I pull the choke, or pull the spark plug wires. My Stop button and key are working. I know this because when I hit the button or pull the key, the gauges and electronics shutoff. All except the spark plugs, they are still receiving power and firing the pistons allowing the engine to run.

So my question is. What is causing this? Is something inside the E-box broken? Bad fuse? You guys tell me. I've scoured the forums and haven't been able to find anything.

    Thanks in advance!

I've figured out what the MPEM is, but I'm confused as to the difference between tMPEM, CDI and Rev limiter, I sea two black boxes that are either of those things but I don't know which is which.

The MPEM is the CDI. Some early Seadoos had a seperate rev limiter or trim module inside the box also.
