To pitch up or pitch down, that is the question!

Hey guys, just wondering which prop I should pitch, here is my situation. Was running a SRZ 15/20R (actually as 15/19.5) and was on my 8600 limiter. I wanted to change that, so I bought a SRZ 15/22 (pitch was perfect, thanks Austin) and I dropped my RPM's to around 8250-8300. Here is my dilemma, which prop should I pitch? Is it better to add some to the 15/20, or is it better to take some out of the 15/22, or will it not make a difference?

Just for kicks, what do you think I should pitch either prop to? Gotta tell Chris (Slow91) what I want or I fear he might mess with... he likes to do that lately....

Won't make a difference as they are the same casting.
I would leave the 15/22 alone and just add 1.5mm to the trailing edge of the 15/20

I agree with Jerry add a touch to the 15-20.
Im anal about this. So just make sure to mark the prop up from the trailing edge at 1inch and 2 inches from the edge and bend it graually starting from 2inches out in afew places. I mark the blades 1,2,3,4 so I know were Ive been... Im getting a little absent minded, so I need refferences to remember.LOL

    See following past post,
    http://www.greenhulk.net/forums/showthread.php?t=2614

Rule of thumb,If you need more RPMs bend the trailing edge towards the front of the prop..IF you need less RPMs bend the trailing edge toward the back of the prop...

Just curious, you've got the valvetrain, why limit your rpm to 8300? Wear and tear?

    Nice ski, mods and SPEED!

He is not limiting his rpm to 8300, that is why he is asking about re-pitching his prop.
