Installing RXPX rideplate on RXP
Does anyone who has installed the RXPX rideplate on an RXP have any helpful hints or tips? I figure I will have to mod the intake grate and pump shoe to work with the X rideplate, but wanted to see if there is anything else that will make the job a bit easier.
Any positive advice will help.
Thanks in advance

ive installed an 08 plate on my 06,it was a Riva plate BUT it still mounted up and bolted the same way...i dont kknow about the newer plates from the s3 hulls....but if your doing a 08 type of plate you will be fine...You shouldnt have to mod anything..

Snowman: What was the performance difference with the Riva plate vs the stock 06 plate?

He's running open loop i believe steve. The ride plate is your heat exchanger in stock form. Either switch to open loop or get a external heat exchanger

Correct mine is an open loop plate so there can be no comparison to the OEM plate...My post was intended for the installation part.my bad for confusing you on the performance side..

I installed an 08' on my 05' hull. Had to cut the brass inserts out of the shoe. Also make the holes where the coolant fittings go through hull slightly larger. U will notice the newer fittings are larger and will be a tight fit, and may not fit, depending on hull, if you don't trim them. Other than that had no problems. Just measure outside diameter of new ones and give yourself a little clearance.
