    2012 Yamaha VX

I have a 2012 Yamaha VXR that I picked up last year for my wife to ride, unfortunately she was involved in an automobile accident and now cannot ride due to back injuries. So rather than the ski sit around I will probably be selling it. It only has 37hrs on the ski. Where would I go about finding how much to ask for the ski?

    thanks,

Forgot to mention it has hardly been ridden and well maintained. Bone stock with a transferable extended warranty if that will make a difference.

nada.com will give you a lower price than kbb.com

Most dealerships use kbb.com or the actual Kelley blue book.

I think KBB and NADA will give you asking prices, not transaction prices.
Though there are very few on Ebay, I like to put skis on my watch list so that I can see final/winning bid after closes.
Watch list prices on Craigslist as well, compare these numbers to NADA/KBB and keep count how many are re-listed time and again and what the asking price is compared to the guides.
A brand new 2013 VXR can now be had for $9300 out the door so I would think you'd have a hard time getting more then $8000.
    Just my two cents.

If you are trying to sell, I would put up ads ASAP - before you lose these last few days of summer. Try to determine what $ you are willing to accept, and put up ads on CL and pwctrader. Maybe list closer to 8k+ & work it from there. I would be sure to list the low hours, any warranty left , and if it has a nice trailer. And lots of pics. You may not get so many bites this late in the season & and have to weed out the lowballers - But hopefully you can get it sold soon.

Just factor in that if you don't get it gone soon, you may have to let it sit until next spring.

    Good Luck
