    SBT driveline kit quality?

Any thoughts on using a sbt kit to rebuild your carbon ring and seals? Has anyone had any quality issues with them or are they oem parts?

I used them one recently and got about 23 hours out of the kit. It seemed to be holding up fine, unfortunately my motor alignment shifted and stripped my prop splines so I'll never know how long those parts would have lasted.

Ive been running them on my turbo for the last 2 years. No issues to date, and loads cheaper for the complete kit too.

never a problem with an sbt driveline kit. Let me say that I will use the Seadoo OEM c-clips, for what should be the obvious reason.

Mind pointing out the reason? I have never messed with one before.

if the c-clip fails, the result in very undesirable ( the ski will take water and possibly swamp the engine.

for that reason only I spend the extra couple of bucks and use the OEM clips and I never re-use them since my liability would be pretty big if there was a failure and I don't think a judge would side with me if I didn't use a new OEM clip for this repair.

There has been enough bad press on substitute parts for car repairs that I don't need to lose sleep over $5.

there are some things I trust to an aftermarket part..and some things I don't, and some things I have to.

compared to sinkage, an oem ring is a bargain of sorts.
