    GPR Powervalve Problem

My 2000 GP1200R powervalves wont start up unless I disconnect and then connect the power wiring to them. They will work while you ride it but once the lanyard is pulled or the power to the gauges goes off they wont go next time the ski is started unless you disconnect the powervalve wiring and connect them again. Its like you have to manually reset them.
    Any ideas

Not until you disconnect and then reconnect the wiring going to the pv servo motor. I have replaced the servo motor.

you may want to purchase a service manual for your ski. you can pick one up for around 30.00, the manual will tell you what to check when trying to troublshoot . good luck

Got a manual. No one can tell me why this happens. I am going to replace the ignition next. I have disconnected and reconnected battery, cleaned all the plug connections and still the pvs don't operate. They did come good once but only for a short period then back to not working till you disconnected and reconnected the pv wiring.

I ran into this similar case. My grounding wire had came loose and I decided to place it somewhere else. It gave me such a run around. Got a rebuilt controller for the PVs and no results. Once I placed the ground back on the starter per the man. specs, all went back to normal.
Check your ground and any other wires that may have came loose.
