    Oil Pump engine oil

Hi everyone. I have a 1994 Kawasaki 750 ST and I am replacing the top end. All is going well but I noticed that there is what looks like a oil filler hole located at the top of the oil pump on the engine. Why?

It is NOT an oil filler tube. Just an hole to check timing.
