    Speedster 200- removing resonator

I really would like to remove the resonators on my 04 Speedster 200- 310hp but I don't know how I should route the exhaust hoses and where to find replacement hoses. Oddly though the 04 has a waterbox and then another metal box ( not the plastic resonator im use to seeing ). Is this the old style resonator or a second waterbox? Kinda confused at what I am seeing. I can post pics tonight.

Anyone? Here is a pic of the secondary metal waterbox. I know in the years after the 04 it was changed to plastic and some choose to bypass it BUT that is also on the SC models. I did it on my 04 RXP, the boat though is just the 155's. Wondering if it would hurt performance?? Also was hoping someone did it so I could see how they routed the exhaust hose.

Well after A LOT of research and talking to a guru, it is ok to remove the resonator on a non sc engine. So I have removed the secondary boxes and will be cutting the rubber hoses to fit and using a 2.75 pipe to connect the 2 pieces. I will post some pics when I get to it.

Please let me know how loud it is. I have the same boat but in the middle of putting 215 motors in it. I was just going to use the newer plastic resonator to try and keep it as quite as possible.

If you are dropping 215's in it, deff remove that resonator, it will sound mean as hell. My rxp sounds great with it removed and once your boat is past 30 mph you cant hear anyone talk anyways. Remove it

Can this be done on the 185 SC motors? That is one clean engine bay!!

About to take it out today and see. lol. It can be done on all SC, the N/A I heard it doesn't help performance but I like the cleaner look, plus the resonators were trashed bc the previous owner overheated the exhaust.
