What's wrong with the ultra 300x handel bars?

    Hey guys

I see a few of you guys change the handle bars on your ultra 300x and I see the new ultra 310R has the BMX style handle bars too - what's up with that? - what's wrong with the stock setup?

also the new 310R states a 12 position settings - does anyone know if that means you can adjust them on the fly like the stock Handel bars or do you think you will need to set them up with tools and once you adjust them they are permanent until you break out the wrench again the adjust them when needed

A slightly wider bar is easier to control and hang on. Its all personal choice I like the oem with a block for more height. Doesnt mean anything is wrong with it. Im guessing you are right with set and forget much like the seadoo x bar setup.

The stock 300 steering has quite a bit of slop (which can be improved to some degree but will always be there because it's not a solid mount). The slop actually absorbs some of the shock of rough water riding but the precision is not there...

I personally didn't like the feel or width of the stock bars. A lot more solid with aftermarket. The lower unit has a bit of slack too.

I have been contiplating after market bars since 07. I just never did. Is it really that much better guys? Also I have a mill machine and could machine a block for trial and error. How thick are these spacers? Sorry hope I'm not getting to off track here!!!

The spacer is personal choice depends on how high you want to go 30-50mm is a good start. I machined bar extensions on my 250 that hammered into the ends of the oem bars. There are pictures un the tips section
