    Msx conversion begins

It has been 2 years contemplating a conversion, but the time has come. Love the ride quality and handling of the MSX but under powered. Now getting some ponies under the seat and going to seen how the ski reacts to steroids. Will post some pics soon. My only dilemma is what pump to use. I have a skat trak 12 vane with a solas 15.5-27. I think the setup will hold back some rpm's but not sure. Any input would be appreciated

The 12v is a good pump but the 148 polaris pump is too small for the power.

I have watched your build and seen the results. How much better is the doo pump than the Polaris pump? I know the Polaris 148mm 15.5 and 27 and the seadoo unit is 159mm is a 15-22 pitch. can the 11mm difference be that much of a difference?

I already have the drive shaft made and with the doo end threaded onto Polaris end. motor lined up for positioning and now I am resining the voids I had to cut away and support. Custom made ride plate and doo nozzle to Polaris pump so I can use seadoo controls tilt trim reverse onto a Polaris exit nozzle. This was all done before I saw your build process. and that's where I stopped

The problem I had with the Polaris pump was the impeller I could not find/bend a prop big enough for the power also broke two d-shafts with stock power. . The Doo pump is night and day compared to the Polaris the hole-shot is awesome top speed aprox the same. Shoot me a msg/or post if you have any questions as my build is still a work in progress but its one of my favorite builds. IMO if you have a choice to use the Doo pump do it.

IMO if I had a clean slate I would go with the Doo pump and Carbon set-up like Kosh.
