    2000 Genesis No spark

    2000 Genesis fuel injected
have searched the forms and found lots on info but still not able to track this down
here is what I have checked so far,

    Battery while cranking 11.12vdc
    MFI does wake up
Injector red/white wire while cranking 18.78vdc
Fuel pump while cranking Red wire 9.84vdc
I have also check the landard for continuity at the plug and it is working correctly
bypassed the LR module as found in another post, (disconnected all wires, move black and white wire to the black terminals, hold bilge switch down while cranking, ) no spark
I was not able to find the ohm specs, I did test continuity on all 8 wires and none of them are to ground?

    thanks for all your help

Both those voltages are low. The low fuel pump voltage is weird, since the fuel pump is powered directly from the battery, via either a fuse or a circuit breaker (Reset button).

Red/White wire voltage is also too low. Should be over 20 volts, typically about 23 volts.

Do you have spark when the LR module is connected normally?

What 8 wire continuity test are you referring to?

Sorry on the 8 wire, though the stator has 8 wires, it has 10

    no spark when connected

check voltage on circuit breakers on both sides reading the same,

I just double checked the voltage at the red/white wire at its still at 18 volts

double checked the fuel pump I was testing the pink wire, the red wire has over 12 volts on it

any info on things going on before the failure?

did you check the CPS continuity and resistance?

no info, im a die hard Seadoo guy, bought this one the other night for cheap, guy said they turned it off and would not restart

just checked the CPS there is continuity on the black and orange wire hit the start button to spin motor recheck and still continuity? so magnets?

CPS is supposed to have stable ohms measurement, typically around 140 ohms as I recall.

any signs on the battery that there were some jumper cables attached?

    Cps Is at 145.9 ohms

    No signs of cables

starting to look like an emm fault. Disconnect the battery, pull the big emm connector and inspect. there is an allen screw in the middle of the big connector that needs to come out ( 4mm if memory serves)

Hope you got it really cheap, an emm repair is going to run well over $600

you need to check the a/c output of the stator while cranking.

could be a broken magnet in the stator too..pull the cps and check the end of it for chips of any type.

Cheap 700 on a brand new loadrite trailer

Is there a link to the stator out put testing?
Ill pull the CPS soon as I get home today, and let you know
