    Different dome size

Have a 1999 genesis 1200 carb and had to get a new dome for the rear cylinder. Bought a used one and it was advertised at a 1999 but looking at the others the old ones aren't as deep as the used one. Was there differences in years? What would it do if I ran it having lower compression in the rear cylinder?

Are there part numbers on the original domes and the replacement?

Also confirm your model year, last four digits on the HIN number plate on the rear deck.

Im pretty sure the 99s used different heads. I know there are 2 different part numbers for the 1200 heads.

1999 was the very first model year for the 1165cc '1200' engine. Only sold in the Genesis (carburetor and FFI versions) and the X-45 (carb only), if memory serves.

    I don't remember if there was a Pro 1200 in 1999

The fuel injected cylinder head was different from the carburetor head, of course. To make it more interesting, there was a retrofit updated head for just the PTO cylinder on the 1999 Genesis FFI engine

The 99 is def different as well as the part #s between the 99 and newer.

I purchased a used dome from a 99 to put on my 01 and the first thing I noticed was the interior dome depth diff. I didn't even try to put it on my motor.

I have no use for it now. If you want it pm me
