    Which GTI to buy?

New to this forum. I have it narrowed down to three. All are GTI SE's. the first is a 2009 155 with 26 hrs, trailer and cover for $7,500 plus TTL. The second is a NEW 2012 155 for $10,200 with cover out the door plus $1,300 for the trailer out the door. The last is a NEW 2013 130 for $9535 (no cover) out the door plus another $1275 for the trailer out the door. All are different dealers and the 2009 is a private sale.

I plan to use it for recreational use (I have a 9 & 12 yr old) and some skiing.

Both the 2012 & 2013 have the factory one year plus two additional limited warranty. The 2009 has no warranty.

Which do you guys think is the bet buy?

    Is the 2012 155 the same as a 2013 155 spec wise?

    thanks,
    Ryan

    Cool

    Welcome aboard the Hulk!!!

    Great machines your looking at.
For what your planning on doooing on the ski the 2013 Gti 130 would doo it all easily.
I would get it but pick a trailer up slightly used some where for 1/2 or less of the trailer prices you've been quoted.
The 130 is a near bullet proof machine and will give you many many hours of care free riding!!!
If you ever wanted to make your 130 a 155 just change the computer and sell the 130 computer to off set the cost.

    Good luck in your search.

Check the in house store on this forum 1st if not then call seadoo.

    I'd think they are $700-800
But then you sell your original for $500 and it only costs you a few $$$
Don't forget you to have it married to the ski and a key made for the new computer.
But any body with a Candoo can doo that for you.
    Then its a 2013 155hp.

That's the only difference between the 155 and 130.

I've been down this road before...

155 gives you better mid range power and a few mph top speed.
155 also revs a little higher at wot.
But a 130hp ski is all you'd need to Dooo your rec riding.
If it got dull on the 130 then doo the 155 swap..

    Rip on...

for the cost of the new GTI's; you could add just a tad more and end up with the AWESOME GTR.
    (a GTI hull w/ 215h.p.)

Learning key/'eco' mode for kids, 'touring' for the wife/towing, and 'sport' for dad's trigger finger...

...rode a GTIse for 6 years before the GTR came out. Have had nothing but fun on either one. The GTI never left me stranded - ever. Jammed a fish through the pump(still dont know how it made it past the grate), and had to wait for the chum to un-pack and loosen itself from stator, but still rode it home - wot! great boat, the GTI.

Seems like at those prices I'd step up to the GTR. A left over 2013 you should be able to get a sweet deal on it...11kish with trailer out the door maybe. I know you can get the Yamaha VXR/VXS out the door right now for 11K with a trailer and I believe a 4 year warranty.

Check with the forum member Tiny on here and see what he can do for you. At least he could give you some insight on what you should pay OTD right now.

Personally, I would DOO the newer one's. They have the iControl's wich are VERY nice to have. Plus your getting a 3 year warranty. Also consider moving to the most horsepower your budget will allow. Least likely to get bored with it and it will hold it's re-sale value better should you choose to trade, or sell in the future.

    Good Luck!

Thanks for the replies guys. I just received some pics of the 2009 this morning and it is clean! But I would really like the benefit of the VTS and the engine modes on the 2012/2103 models.

Is a GTR 215 super charged or N/A?

You see how this works? I started looking at a GTS, then a GTI 130, then a SE, then a 155, now you guys are talking GTR......killing me!

I'm in South Louisiana by the way.

    Ryan
