What has been done to the "jims modified rideplate" to make your PWC faster?

I'm new to yamaha. From the picture I've seen of the "jim's modified rideplate", I cannot tell what's been done to a stock vx110 rideplate to somehow make the PWC faster. Can someone tell me whats been done, for the cost, to help the PWC go fast. Below is one for sale I saw in classified.

Jim has cut inverted skegs into the center of the plate, cleaned everything up, verified angles and worked on the mating surface some.

ok, a skeg is a fin, or so I thought. I'm not sure what an inverted skeg is, perhaps its a fin on the opposite side.

Here are some side by side pics... hope it helps. I can say that adding a Jim's VX plate to my FZR netted me 3.5mph at WOT and just a very very slight bounce which can easily be eliminated by adjusting your body weight over the bars.

also the inverted skeggs add straight line stability, And bite slightly around turns so you do not slide out on turns.

Hello bscpaint, We had the plate done for over a half a year but prices for production was unreal unless we had them made in China and we are not doing that. I think the new FZR plate has a lot of potential because of the longer length so i will be working with that plate. And we will be testing it.
