That sounds great. I have not been to Havasu since 99. I would love to do the ride up to Pirates.

Kawasaki has introduced a competitor for the spark, the code name is supposed to be the 'SFART'. Here's a spy video from the 2013 IJSBA WORLD FINALS

Ok here is my impression of the spark. I got to ride it at Pirates Cove on the Colorado river.

Running across chop from another ski at a 45 is very stable and did not seem to bounce very much. Never really felt loose. Was able to run at about 20 or so and do 180 or 360 spins with no problem. On the spins the nose did not go under water and throw water on me. At wide open it has a buzzy noise hard to explain that one. Wide open sitting on the back of the 3 seater top speed was just over 50 and yes that was with a GPS. Overall was a pretty quick and fun stable ski for about 6K as I was riding it. Oh yes while idling back through the no wake zone I stood up on the very back platform and still felt solid underneath me. Did not try to stand on just one side. Notices that the top deck seems to ride higher in the water than some of the smaller or older type of skis. Heck even my GPR the back of it sits low in the water. Another thing I found out is that the colors of the ski including the add-on color panels are solid. In other words if you scratch it no color changes.
If you are looking for something fun and small to play around on then this may be the ski for you. I was told by BRP that the prop has been tweeked for acceleration not for top speed.
Will add more when I remember it.

    John

I also rode one and will agree with everything john posted above. I was impressed with the grunt, and was a blast with the light weight. It will jump out of the water, and you can kick the rear end out making it bunny hop. FWIW I rode the 2 up HO.
